Grandpa was admitted for an emergency Cholecystectomy operation this afternoon. He was in the operation theatre from 4.30pm till about 9.00pm. Almost the entire "kampong" (about 25 of my relatives) were there. It was a rather exaggerating scene. I left office about 6.00pm and was at the hospital by about 7.15pm. It was great the op went well - everyone was jittery.
Got home about 10pm. Grandpa was still groggy and drifting in and out of consciousness when we left. I don't think he knew we were there. He must have succumbed to the excruciating pain - he refused to think he was in serious condition before this afternoon. Poor grandpa - I wonder how he managed to tolerate that intensely painful attacks for the last few months. He'll have to stay for a few more days I believe. Will be visiting him again though it is not a great idea I visit the hopsital while I'm building up my immunity from my pneumonia episode. But, he's my grandpa. :)
It's not nice to be unwell.
I hope he gets well soon.
