I got to thinking about stagnancy lately. It probably is the root of my restlessness.
I feel a lot of things and feelings are no longer the same now. Even the place I work is vastly different now - it has evolved to an environment I no longer like - too busy, too impatient, too superficial, too indifferent, too quiet, too cold. Except for official businesses, no one is really talking anymore. The distance has grown so wide in a matter of 4 years. We have all drifted. Organising family day is no longer fun because attendance is dwindling. The familiarity I once know is now strangely unfamiliar. I wonder, what happened? Or, is it just me?
As Carrie Bradshaw wrote in her column - do we (sometimes) need distance to get closer?
