Dim Sum Dollies

I've never been to a theatre show before until two nights ago. A very thoughtful friend invited me to watch Dim Sum Dollies - The History of Singapore, which was showing at the iconic Esplanade. Incidentally, the night of performance was the last of the 8 amazing sessions.

I must say, my perspective of theatre shows have changed 180 degrees since. I didn't realise it can be so enjoyable - wonderfully witty, hysterically hilarious and powerfully performed by the very talented foursome - Selena, Pamela, Emma and Hossan. Everything was "real" time. For that 120 minutes, everyone forgot their troubles as they laughed heartily. At the end of the performance, there was thunderous applause of appreciation and acknowlegement. Everyone couldn't stop clapping. It was a touching moment.

Now, I am tempted to catch Broadway Beng 3!
