Easy Come Easy Go

Just went offline with a long-time friend who cooked himself an instant noodle with three fishballs, some mushrooms, chilli and an egg. Sounds delicious! The instant noodle is one of my personal all-time favourite dish. They are so convenient and most importantly, nice. Can't imagine life without it. I stick to 2 brands most times - Myojo and Nissin.

On the non-food part, am done watching Season 3 of SATC. Episode 9 (Easy come, easy go) is worth thinking.

"When it comes to relationships, is it smarter to follow your heart or your head?"

You see, the thing about feelings.. it's harder than anything else. It is so complex at times. Sometimes you know you are not supposed to fall for someone but yet, you can't help it. In Carrie's case, she knew Big was married to Natasha (though they were once in love) and she had a great boyfriend (Aidan) so there was no reason for her to be troubled but she was. For a simple reason, she still loves Big. Her head tells her she shouldn't get involved but her heart tells her otherwise. Usually for a woman, her heart will prevail. What about men?

So she did get involved and did end the affair after Natasha found out but couldn't live with the guilt and decided to come clean with Aidan. Aidan was heartbroken and left her. As a woman, I thought it was crazy for Carrie to cheat on a great guy like Aidan but again, it's easy for me to say that because I wasn't in love with Big.

I once told a pilot friend I had this personal policy about not getting involved with married men and I am serious about it. I mean, what's the point?
